Daolight does not require an account and does not collect personal information.
All quotes, reflections, favorites, notification schedules, and journey progress live only on your device.
If you enable iCloud backups, Apple securely syncs that data on your behalf; Daolight never receives a copy.
Your selections (mood, Enneagram type, journey state) drive on-device personalization so the daily quote feels relevant.
Reflection entries never leave the device. They are stored locally and can be deleted at any time from Settings.
Anonymous analytics, advertising SDKs, and third-party trackers are not integrated into the app.
Payments are processed exclusively through Apple's in-app purchase system. Daolight does not see or store card details.
Apple shares a high-level receipt so we can unlock Daolight Pro on the correct Apple ID.
Notification schedules are stored locally and delivered by iOS.
Widgets use a small shared file (inside your private App Group container) to mirror the current daily quote — no network calls are made.
If you enable location reminders, Daolight monitors geofence regions you configure to deliver quotes on arrival or departure. Location data is processed on-device by iOS and is never sent to any server.
You can delete all app data by uninstalling Daolight or by using the reset options inside Settings.
To export reflections, open Journal History and use the system share sheet on any entry.
Notification permissions can be changed in iOS Settings › Notifications › Daolight.
